Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is great American professional basketball player of the Los Angeles Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing around 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has began specifically for the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, an Olympic gold medal, and led a National basketball association in assists 3 times and steals 6 times. He has already been picked to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive clubs.
Paul has been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two years of university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons reach their initial ever number one standing. He had been selected 4th total in the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded with the Clippers in 2011.
On December 8, 2011, the Hornets accepted a three-team deal sending Paul on the Los Angeles Lakers. A NBA, who owned the team at the time, nullified the deal, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off keeping Paul.The clubs involved in the transaction attempted to negotiate the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the deal to no avail.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down once the NBA added further demands for the original terms. Two days further, the teams now made the deal, sending Paul and two future 2nd stage draft picks for the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, plus the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick in the 2012 draft. After the deal's conclusion, Paul declared that he would opt into the final year of his agreement and stay for L . A . for about 2 more years.
