How Life Seems to Repeat Itself: Planned Economy or Planned Destruction?

A reader sent me a cartoon from the 1934 Chicago Tribune!

The title alone seems quite appropriate and very similar to today's economic world in many countries.

In the bottom right corner is Stalin, who could be replaced by Sadam or Osama in this repetitive cycle.

Depleting the resource of the soundest government!  Wow, we definitely seem to be doing that one all over again.  You can thank Greenspan, Burnanke, GW, Obama, and congress in general.

But the lower left corner is remarkably eerie:  "Spend! Spend! Spend!"  What else do the bobbleheads running this county know.  "All under the disguise of a recovery."  Hmmmmm.........that sounds familiar too.  "Bust the government and blame capitalism!"  Yes, that seems to be intrenched these days.

It's quite amazing to see the cycle of life repeating itself once again.  We all know that should happen, because that is the nature of man.

I want to thank the reader for sending in this treat from the past!

Hope all is well.
